When TekSavvy came to us they were a small Internet company with a powerful vision. They had a standout product – fair prices, better service and no contracts – without a standout voice. While they marketed with tactics like an NHL spokesperson, they were massively outspent by the big telcos and couldn’t cut through.
HATE YOUR TELCO MUCH?___
Ever talk to Canadians about their telco? Most, if not all, strongly dislike them. But they feel they have no choice. So, from the start, we wanted a brand that let everyone know TekSavvy was different. In a good way. With that rallying cry, and six original characters to tell their story, we launched into the Canadian market as a challenger choice.
AN IDEA WORTH STEALING___
Our challenger approach turned heads and got customers talking – and even walking away with our advertising. (Yep, people actually stole our OOH posters to take home.) TekSavvy experienced unprecedented growth, with the demand for service skyrocketing so high the company had to continually pause their marketing to keep up with the influx of new business.
